Jeff Harwell

Jeff was born in Northeast Texas. After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce, he went on to earn a professional zoo-keeping certificate specializing in large carnivore husbandry. He then worked at a large safari park in Arizona as the Carnivore Manager for 13 years. He moved abroad in 2020 to earn a Master’s degree in Biodiversity and Conservation from Trinity College Dublin. Jeff has a passion for animal care and conservation. He takes pride in knowing that the ambassador animals at Longneck Manor are not only inspiring the preservation of their endangered wild counterparts but that the facility is focused on raising money for in-situ projects worldwide.
