Browse refers to the tender shoots, twigs, and green leaves from specific types of trees and shrubs. This natural food source is not only essential to their physical health, but it also plays a critical role in providing daily enrichment and training opportunities that stimulate their minds and encourage natural behaviors.

Through our Browse Donation Program, we invite local landowners, tree trimmers, landscaping companies, and residents to donate fresh trimmings or recently felled trees from a list of giraffe-approved species. Your thoughtful donation directly supports the wellbeing of our animals and helps us continue delivering excellent care.

Trees Our Giraffes Love:
If you have any of the following trees on your property and plan to prune, trim, or remove them, please consider donating the fresh cuttings
- Cedar Elm
- Mulberry
- Hackberry
- Bradford Pear
- Willow
- Pecan
These tree species are safe, nutritious, and deeply enjoyed by our giraffes.
